Shah Rukh Khan
Prior to the premiere of his much-anticipated film ‘Jawan’, Shah Rukh Khan made prayers at the famed shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi atop Trikuta hills in Jammu and Kashmir’s Reasi district.
An official said the 58-year-old actor arrived at the shrine late Tuesday night to pay his obeisance.
“The superstar reached base camp Katra on Tuesday evening and used the new Tarakote route to reach the shrine around 11.40 pm. He offered prayers and left immediately”, the official claimed.
A shot video of the actor at the shrine, clothed in a hooded blue jacket with his face completely hidden, is circulating on social media.
Officials from the Vaishno Devi shrine board, as well as some police officers and the superstar’s personal crew, were spotted in the area.
This is Shah Rukh’s second trip to Vaishno Devi in the last nine months. The actor visited the shrine in December 2022, more than a month before his smash film ‘Pathaan’ was released.
Atlee, a Tamil filmmaker, directs ‘Jawan’, a high-octane action thriller. It will be released in theatres on September 7, 2023.
Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Priyamani, and Sanya Malhotra are featured in the film. Deepika Padukone will make a special appearance.
