Salman Khan Shares Poolside Photos Amid Show Postponement Following Kashmir Attack

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan recently posted a series of shirtless poolside pictures on Instagram, quoting a nostalgic song from one of his classic films.

The photos, shared on Monday, show the actor posing in a swimming pool, displaying his relaxed side despite recent tragic events that have rocked the nation.

In the caption, Khan wrote: “Eello ji sanam hum aa gaye…………. Ab itna bhi gussa karo nahin jaani,” – a line from the song ‘Eello Ji Sanam Hum Aa Gaye’ from the cult classic Andaz Apna Apna, which was re-released recently.

Show Postponed In Light Of Kashmir Attack

Shortly after posting the images, the actor addressed the postponement of his much-anticipated ‘Bollywood Big One Show’, originally scheduled for 4th and 5th May in Manchester and London.

The decision comes in response to the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which claimed 27 lives, including a local civilian.

Taking to social media, Khan shared a statement, “In light of the recent tragic events in Kashmir, and with profound sadness, we have taken the difficult decision to postpone The Bollywood Big One shows.”

He further expressed empathy for fans who had been eagerly awaiting the performances, “While we understand how much our fans were looking forward to these performances, we feel it is only right to pause during this time of grief. We sincerely apologise for any disappointment or inconvenience and deeply appreciate your understanding. New dates will announced shortly.”

The event features several major Bollywood stars, including Sara Ali Khan, Varun Dhawan, Madhuri Dixit, Tiger Shroff, Kriti Sanon, and Sunil Grover.

Khan Condemns Terror Attack

Earlier, Salman Khan publicly condemned the Pahalgam terror attack, voicing his sorrow on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter).

“Kashmir, heaven on planet Earth, is turning into hell. Innocent people are being targeted. My heart goes out to their families,” he wrote.

He added in Hindi, “Ek bhi innocent ko marna puri kainaat ko marne ke barabar hai” – meaning, “Killing even one innocent person is equal to killing the entire universe.”

Attack Sparks International Tensions

The terrorist outfit The Resistance Front (TRF) initially claimed responsibility for the attack. TRF, believed to be a proxy of Lashkar-e-Taiba, emerged following the abrogation of Article 370, which revoked the special status of Jammu and Kashmir.

However, the group later retracted its statement, alleging a cyberattack had led to the unauthorised post on their website.

Despite the confusion, the incident has intensified discussions about the escalating threat of Pakistan-sponsored terrorism in the Kashmir valley.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has taken over the case and is currently investigating all possible angles.

India Responds To Cross-Border Tensions

In response to the attack and ongoing security concerns, India suspended the Indus Water Treaty and released water from the Jhelum River, which led to flooding in parts of Pakistan.

The diplomatic fallout has further strained relations between the two countries, reviving concerns over Pakistan’s long-standing support of terror networks and historical training of the Taliban in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region during the USSR’s occupation of Afghanistan.
