Rohit Shetty Shares Glimpse Of Transformative Kashmir During ‘Singham Again’ Shoot

Acclaimed director Rohit Shetty has given fans a behind-the-scenes look at the making of his latest film, ‘Singham Again’, through a video showcasing the transformed landscape of Kashmir.

The region has undergone significant changes since the abrogation of Article 370 in 2019.

Shetty recently wrapped up the Kashmir schedule for ‘Singham Again’ and posted a video on Tuesday capturing the serene and peaceful environment that now defines the Valley.

The video reflects on the progress and tranquility that have emerged in the region, highlighting the stark contrast to its tumultuous past.

In his Instagram post, Shetty expressed his gratitude for the warm reception in Kashmir, writing, “@narendramodi @hmoindia Had the most amazing and emotional schedule. Thank you for the tremendous love, Kashmir.”

The video’s narrative underscores Kashmir’s journey from a land plagued by terrorism, unrest, and curfews to a rejuvenated and peaceful destination.

The text in the video reads: “We always had a paradise in our motherland called Kashmir. But once there was terrorism, unrest, curfews, and no social life, and then Article 370 was abolished. Five years later, we landed up filming ‘Singham Again’, and now the New Kashmir. Happiness, young energy, tourism, peace, love, naye bharat ka naya kashmir.”

Article 370:

The government abrogated Article 370, which granted special status to Jammu and Kashmir, on August 5, 2019.

This led to the reorganization of the state into two union territories: Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh, facilitating significant administrative and socio-economic changes.

The video showcases iconic locations in Kashmir, such as Dal Lake, illustrating how the region, once marred by conflict, now enjoys a surge in tourism and local happiness.

Earlier, Shetty shared a striking image of Ajay Devgn on set, dressed in his police uniform, against the majestic backdrop of snow-covered mountains and the armoured vehicles of the Jammu and Kashmir Police, symbolizing the renewed spirit and resilience of the region.

The narrative and visuals collectively celebrate the ‘New Kashmir’, a testament to the positive changes and the promise of continued peace and prosperity.
