Actor Rashmika Mandanna sent a long statement about her role as Animal’s Gitanjali, the movie that’s still topping the box office. Reviews for the Sandeep Reddy Vanga flick, which also stars Ranbir Kapoor, were conflicted. In the film, Rashmika plays Ranbir’s girlfriend, with whom he later cheats on her after they are married and have children.
Speaking about her character, which likewise elicited conflicting responses from moviegoers, Rashmika said that she had some doubts about certain aspects of the part. “Gitanjali,” she wrote. She is the only thing keeping her family together at home, if I were to sum her up in one sentence. She is raw, strong, true, unadulterated, and pure. As an actress, I would occasionally have doubts about some of Gitanjali’s decisions.

And I recall hearing from my director that this was their tale. This is who Ranvijay and Gitanjali are; it’s their love and passion, their families, and their lives. Gitanjali would offer trust, serenity, and harmony to a world filled of violence, hurt, and excruciating agony. She would ask her gods to protect her family, including her husband. She was the rock that survived every adversity. For the benefit of her family, she would stop at nothing. I think Gitanjali is really lovely, and she is similar to most women in that she stands strong and defends her family every day. “Happy one week to us #Animal team,” she added, defending her movie persona.
In Animal, a gang conflict is built up with a lot of violence. The main characters are Anil Kapoor, who plays Balbir Singh, and Ranbir Kapoor, who plays his son Ranvijay Singh, also known as Vijay. Their relationship is characterized by conflict. Triptii Dimri has a major role in the movie, and Bobby Deol portrays the adversary.

Recently, the movie became embroiled in yet another controversy when Congressman Ranjeet Ranjan of the Rajya Sabha criticized it for “shamefully justifying violence and misogyny.”
“Cinema is a mirror to society,” stated Ranjan. Everybody has grown up watching movies. The movie industry has a big impact on society, especially with young people. There are movies coming out these days, such Pushpa, Animal, and Kabir Singh’s flick. My daughter was watching the movie with a number of other kids. At the half, they sobbed and exited the theater. It is disgusting how the movie defends misogyny and brutality.
