Raiza Wilson’s Sci-Fi Thriller ‘Nova’ Gets U/A Certificate, Set For September 25 Release

Raiza Wilson’s horror sci-fi thriller ‘Nova’ has received a U/A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) and will be released worldwide on September 25.

Directed by Milo, the film stars Wilson in a prominent role. She shared the certification update on Instagram, describing ‘Nova’ as ‘a fun sci-fi film for everyone’.

The makers had earlier announced the release date with a poster unveiled during Vinayakar Chathurthi.

Wilson, known for ‘Pyaar Prema Kaadhal’, said ‘Nova’ combines action, thriller and science-fiction elements.

She plays an important character who appears in the film’s flashback portions, calling the role unlike anything she had attempted before.

The team shot the film in the forests of Marayoor in Kerala, including sandalwood forests.

Wilson said the shoot presented several challenges, including blood-sucking leeches, heavy rain, persistent mist, slippery paths and the sounds of wild animals. Despite the difficult conditions, the team completed filming on schedule.

Wilson also praised debutant director Milo for maintaining a positive atmosphere on set while handling the complex story. She said the director worked hard to bring his first feature film together.

The actress revealed that she often remained in wet clothes during filming because of the rain. Stunt master Vimal Rambo provided specialised training for her action sequences.

Her earlier fight training for ‘Mr X’ also helped her perform the scenes.

The cast includes Dhruva of ‘Aanmai Thavarael’, Adviti Shetty, Bengali actress Krithika Biswas, Malayalam actor Joe John Chacko, Sendrayan, and YouTube personalities Finally Swathika and Finally Krishna.

The film promises a blend of supernatural elements, suspense and action for audiences this month. With its U/A certification secured, ‘Nova’ is now set for a worldwide theatrical release on September 25.
