Johnny Depp's show canceled in Budapest
In Budapest earlier this week, actor Johnny Depp was supposed to perform with his band, Hollywood Vampires. However, ‘unforeseen circumstances’ forced the cancellation of the show. When the announcement was made, the Papp László Sport Arena was already crowded with spectators. However, there is no particular reason why Johnny Depp’s show was canceled in Budapest.
Hollywood Vampires posted a message on Instagram on July 18 confirming the news that the performance had been canceled. The message said, “Due to unanticipated events, the Vampires will be canceling tonight’s performance in Budapest. All tickets, including general admission and VIP meet-and-greet ones, will be fully returned. We sincerely apologize and love all of the supporters who came from near and far to watch us soar. Apologies in advance, The Hollywood Vampires said on their Instagram post.
Since then, a number of tales have emerged claiming that Johnny became ill in his hotel room. “Everything was prepared, the stage was set, and the background crew was also ready for the party,” an insider was reported by Blikk as saying. I never even considered that there may be a problem, especially considering that the band members had already completed the afternoon’s scheduled sound setup. Nobody gave Johnny Depp’s absence a second thought; a coworker even put up his microphone; nonetheless, this is standard for such celebrities.
Additionally, it stated, “We heard that Johnny Depp partied too much and was unable to leave the hotel. We also learned that a doctor had indeed been contacted to determine whether the rock star’s overzealous pursuit of fame was the only issue.

A photo of Johnny holding a beer cup was also uploaded by Twitter user @cocainecross, who said it was taken barely one hour before the concert. The post read, “Here is Johnny Depp drinking an hour before canceling his gig due to ‘unforeseen circumstances’. Most likely, he fainted once again. They continued, “It was confirmed by the photographer before they came for me. Even though he had been drinking just before the supposed illness, they assert that he “fell ill at the hotel.”
