Deepika Padukone: The dazzling actor who is an A-Lister in Bollywood turns 37 on January 5 and continues to turn heads with her looks, physique and her some memorable performances. Ever since she came into the world of Cinema in 2006 till date she has won 80 awards till date.

She even holds the 2019 Guiness World record record for being the highest paid Bollywood actress.

Deepika has done all kinds of cinema and is considered one of the most bankable stars in the film industry right now.

No wonder she has some of the most plum projects in her kitty.

Deepika’s fans can rejoice on her birthday as the return presents are very exciting.

Pathaan

This is 2023’s most awaited film and has already got a lot of attention along with courting controversy for the song ‘Besharam Rang’.

Pathaan has Shah Rukh Khan as the male lead opposite Deepika Padukone and John Abraham plays the antagonist in the film.

Shah Rukh in the titular role plays a RAW agent with the code name Pathaan in this action-thriller releasing on 25th January 2023. Deepika will be seen matching his every step as his live interest.

The film is part of Aditya Chopra’s dream spy universe project. The stars have truly come together for this one as Salman Khan will also be seen in a cameo appearance.

 

Project K

This Nag Ashwin directorial film is touted to be a film that shall wow the audience across all borders. This Sci-fi thriller film is estimated to be the most expensive film ever made in India. With a budget of 500 crores, it features Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Pawan Kalyan among others. The film is directed by Nag Ashwin.

The film’s team wished Deepika on her birthday by releasing the poster of the film in which Deepika looks quite mysterious. Pathaan movie’s poster also released on her birthday today. Thus, its been a double treat for the fans.

Singham Again

Deepika’s fans can’t keep their excitement under control with this one. This is part of the cop universe created by Director Rohit Shetty. Deepika is making an entry into Director Rohit Shetty’s cop universe as a  female ‘Singham’. Cop films of the mainstream cinema have only featured female cops minimalistically or in cosmetic roles or in titular characters on a more serious note.

But having a ‘A-lister’ female mainstream masala film actor in the no-brainer entertainment world of Rohit Shetty would be a nice change. I just hope Rohit Shetty will make full use of Deepika’s star power and attributes unlike his latest outing ‘Cirkus’ with her husband Ranveer Singh which was a very sorry affair.

In 2007, Deepika Padukone debuted in Bollywood opposite Shah Rukh Khan with the film Om Shanti Om. Since then she has been soaring high on popularity and the box office.

Deepika is one of the most successful actors having done all kinds of cinema from the no-brainer Housefull, to the more nuanced Aarakshan, to aesthetic films like Goliyon ki Raasleela and epic films like  Bajirao Mastani, and Padmavat.

She even played the character of an acid attack survivor in the film Chappak while being at the peak of her career. She also made her debut in Hollywood with xXx: The Return of Xander Cage opposite Vin Diesel.

Apart from these 2023 releases there is also talk about Deepika being considered for SS Rajamouli’s next epic adventure film.

In 2024 she will be seen in the avatar of a pilot alongside Hrithik Roshan. The Siddharth Anand directorial is touted to be India’s first ever aerial action drama.

That’s a power packed year for Deepika and an exciting one for her fans.
