Born on January 10, 1974, in Mumbai, Maharashtra, Hrithik is the son of Bollywood luminary Rakesh Roshan and Pinky Roshan. With a lineage deeply rooted in the Indian film industry, including a grandfather celebrated as a music director and an uncle distinguished as a producer, Hrithik’s foray into cinema began at the tender age of six. A clandestine stint as a child artist in the 1980 film ‘Aasha’ saw him unknowingly showcasing his dance talents on set.

Early life of Hrithik Roshan

Despite facing challenges as a shy and introverted child with stammering issues and low confidence, Hrithik attended Bombay Scottish School, where he discovered his passion for dance. Under the mentorship of choreographer Shiamak Davar, he honed his skills, showcasing his talent in various stage performances.

Opting out of pursuing a degree at UCLA in the United States, Hrithik delved into the nuances of filmmaking. Despite his family background, he undertook menial tasks on film sets, displaying his unwavering commitment to his dream.

Dealing with stammering and a thin physique, Hrithik underwent dance lessons and bodybuilding to overcome these challenges. His determination inspired many, setting an example of resilience in the face of adversity.
