Facing criticism for touching CM Yogi’s feet, here is what Rajinikanth says

The second week of August witnessed something in Lucknow which is having its reflection of reactions now. Superstar Rajinikanth greeted the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanatha with a namaste and then also touched his feet. Some people on the internet started criticising the actor along with many more for his gesture.

It took some days for actor Rajinikanth to react on it following a section of the social media people hurled criticism on him for touching feet of UP CM. Recently, Rajinikanth happened to meet Yogi Adityanath at his residence in Lucknow which came up as a start of controversy against him. Finally the superstar broke his silence and said what he wanted to say.

The media reports say that Rajinikanth now said that it’s his common ‘habit to touch the feet of Sanyasis or Yogi. People did not like this style of greeting by the superstar since he is older than the Chief Minister of UP.

These people may also have some anti-BJP orientation or else may not be aware of the fact that no matter how old a yogi or sanyasi is, he is always reverend and people are supposed to touch his or her feet as per the beliefs of Sanathan Dharma.

This also show that Rajnikanth has a better knowledge of Sanathan Dharma in comparison with the ones who are criticizing him from different social media daises. And this is as he mentioned is his habit to touch feet of Sadhus, Sanyasis and Yogis’.

Rajinikanth on Monday reached Chennai following his travel for the last few days. Briefly interacting with mediamen outside the airport, he gave his first eaction over the row around touching the feet of Yogi Adityanath. Rajinikanth made it clear that it was his gesture of respect for the UP CM. Since he is a Yogi, I touched his feet. I touch feet of all Yogis and Sanyasis.’

The superstar said that it is his habit to touch feet of Sadhu-Sanyasis and in response to that he receives their blessings. Rajinikanth said, ‘ Age doesn’t matter, even if they are younger than me. I have done that only.”
