Made In Heaven Season 2, the month’s most eagerly anticipated series, debuted early and is currently streaming on Prime Video India. The series, which was directed by Reema Kagti, Alankrita Shrivastava, Nitya Mehra, and Neeraj Ghaywan, was slated to debut on August 11 at midnight
Zoya Akhtar, who co-directed the first season with Prashant Nair, Shrivastava, and Mehra, shared the news by posting a picture of herself taking in the program. “Finally MIH S2 out now,” she continued.
Sobhita Dhulipala, Arjun Mathur, Jim Sarbh, Mona Singh, Kalki Koechlin, Shashank Arora, and Trinetra are among the cast members of Made In Heaven Season 2. After a lengthy four-year wait, season two finally debuted. The first season of the program had favorable reviews and Mathur was nominated for an International Emmy.
The plot involved two wedding planners and best friends, Karan (played by Arjun) and Tara (played by Sobhita), in a nearly anthology-style series about many couples, their weddings, and relationships.
The new season, which is produced by Excel Media and Entertainment and Tiger Baby, includes some familiar faces like Ishwak Singh and Trinetra in addition to the original cast members Sobhita, Arjun, Kalki Koechlin, Jim Sarbh, Shashank Arora, and Shivangi Rastogi.
Reema Kagti said of the show, “Shooting (the show) was quite tough. Since season one of Made in Heaven had such a large ensemble cast and even without COVID-19, every episode featured a wedding. Photographing a wedding can be quite stressful, much like shooting action. When COVID-19 opened up, you could not have more than 50 people on set, but there is no day when you can shoot Made in Heaven with less than 50 people. The logistics, the number of locations, so many directors, and actors. Special mention to the production team, AD (assistant direction) team, this was a very wild beast to tame.”

There wasn’t anything like this when we wrote season one, so it was a major experiment. What it would do was unknown to us. Once it was released and received so positively, writing underwent a lot of pressure. You want to step up your game and create something better. The same ideas continue to be important to us. In a patriarchal society, we are viewing events through the eyes of women. We have only scratched the surface in terms of seemingly harmless substances that, upon closer examination, vary from hazardous to less benign. Thus, same themes, but perhaps we are becoming darker and dirtier,” she continued.
