Punjabi star Diljit Dosanjh has kicked off promotional activities for his upcoming film Main Vapas Aaunga, reuniting with his Amar Singh Chamkila team. He appeared on Sunday with director Imtiaz Ali, lyricist Irshad Kamil, and celebrated composer AR Rahman.
This marks his return to the promotional circuit after he skipped publicity for Border 2 earlier in the year. The high-profile sequel starred Sunny Deol and Suniel Shetty in prominent roles.
The film represents Diljit’s second collaboration with Imtiaz Ali following the biopic Amar Singh Chamkila. Main Vapas Aaunga is a period romantic drama featuring Sharvari, Naseeruddin Shah, and Vedang Raina.
The story unfolds during the Partition of India, addressing themes such as love, displacement, and memory. It is expected to portray a relationship deeply influenced by the social and emotional upheaval of that period.
The project reunites Imtiaz Ali with long-time collaborators AR Rahman and Irshad Kamil, strengthening the film’s musical and lyrical foundation.
Earlier announcements confirmed that the film will release in cinemas on June 12, 2026, presenting it as a poignant tale centred on love and longing.
The film is produced by Applause Entertainment and Window Seat Films, along with producer Mohit Choudhary. The collaboration aims to deliver a visually rich and emotionally engaging cinematic experience.
