‘Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge’ Teaser Certified By CBFC Ahead Of Release

The Central Board of Film Certification approved the teaser on 19 January 2026. The Central Board of Film Certification awarded the promotional glimpse an A certificate, marking it suitable for adult audiences.

The filmmakers crafted the short teaser, which runs for 1 minute and 48 seconds, to maintain suspense.

It offers a glimpse of the film’s intense action sequences and intriguing storyline without revealing any major plot points.

With certification complete, the filmmakers will now kick off the promotional campaign.

They plan to attach the teaser to the theatrical release of Border 2, ensuring that moviegoers across the country see the first look on the big screen. This strategy is expected to generate excitement and anticipation ahead of the sequel’s release.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, the original Dhurandhar became a box-office phenomenon. It broke records to emerge as the highest-grossing Hindi film of all time in terms of Hindi release collections.

The film starred Ranveer Singh in the lead role. The ensemble cast also included Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun, R Madhavan, Rakesh Bedi, Akshaye Khanna, and Arjun Rampal. Supporting performances by Saumya Tandon, Naveen Kaushik, Gaurav Gera, Danish Pandor, and Naseem Mughal added depth to the story.

The espionage thriller grossed over ₹1,280 crore worldwide, while Netflix reportedly acquired its streaming rights for approximately ₹130 crore, further expanding the film’s reach to a global audience.

Although Akshaye Khanna’s character, Rahman Dakait, died in the first film, the filmmakers plan to bring him back in Dhurandhar 2 through flashback sequences. Fans are also keenly anticipating the reveal of the mysterious Bade Sahab character, whose identity remains shrouded in secrecy.

The sequel promises heightened action, gripping drama, and deeper exploration of espionage themes, setting the stage for another blockbuster.
