Actress Deepika Padukone has been discharged from the H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre in Mumbai following the birth of her baby girl with actor-husband Ranveer Singh. The couple exited the hospital on Sunday, with videos of their departure making waves online. To avoid media attention, they chose to leave through the hospital’s back gate, but some footage captured a fleeting glimpse of their newborn as they drove away in their Mercedes-Maybachs.
During Deepika’s hospital stay, her close friend and Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan visited her and met the newborn.

Deepika and Ranveer welcomed their daughter on September 8, coinciding with the first day of Ganeshotsav. Prior to the delivery, the couple, along with their families, visited the Siddhivinayak Temple in Mumbai, timing the birth to coincide with the auspicious day.
The couple announced their pregnancy in February 2024 with a charming Instagram post featuring motifs of baby clothes, baby shoes, and balloons, captioned “September 2024.”
In response to online speculation and criticism about her pregnancy, Deepika and Ranveer recently shared a stunning maternity shoot on Instagram, addressing and countering the trolling and doubts surrounding the actress’s baby bump.
Deepika and Ranveer, who married in a private ceremony at Lake Como in November 2018, will soon star together in the upcoming Rohit Shetty directorial Singham Again. Deepika will join Shetty’s cop universe for the first time, while Ranveer will make a cameo appearance as Simmba.
