After a man was arrested for sending a threatening email to the Dabangg actor, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan received another death threat call, Mumbai Police reported today.
According to the police, on April 10, a threat call was made to the Mumbai Police control room. The caller identified himself as Rockey Bhai and stated he was a Gau rakshak from Jodhpur, Rajasthan. On April 30, the caller threatened to kill Salman Khan.
Mumbai Police said that an additional inquiry is underway.
Prior to this, Dhakad Ram, a native of Luni in the Jodhpur region of Rajasthan, was detained on March 26 and turned over to Mumbai Police after being accused of threatening Salman Khan over email.
At the Bandra police station, a case was filed. Salman Khan allegedly received a threatening email from the accused in which the actor was warned that he would “end up like Sidhu Moose Wala”.
“The Mumbai police team and Luni police team in joint action caught Dhakad Ram, a resident of Luni in Jodhpur district, in the case registered in Bandra police station of threats to kill Salman Khan via email,” Luni Police Station Officer, Jodhpur Ishwar Chand Pareek had earlier informed ANI.
The Mumbai police have granted Salman Khan Y+ category security because the actor is thought to be under threat. After receiving a threat letter from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, the Maharashtra State government took this action.
In addition, Mumbai Police have charged convicted gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi, Goldie Brar, and Rohit Garg with sending threatening emails to actor Salman Khan’s office. Bandra Police filed a case under IPC sections 506(2), 120(b), and 34.
Meanwhile, the actor has begun promoting his forthcoming film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, and he attended the trailer premiere event in Mumbai on April 10.
