The makers of the highly anticipated reality show Bigg Boss will return with its 19th season and unveiled a gripping trailer on Thursday to amp up the excitement.
This time, the show embraces the theme ‘Gharwalon Ki Sarkaar’, promising a bold new twist in the game’s format.
Set against the backdrop of a Parliament-style setup, Bigg Boss 19 introduces a major shift in the show’s power dynamics. Housemates will make their own decisions—big or small—for the first time.
The trailer teases this transformation with Salman Khan returning as host, taking charge of the evolving democratic chaos within the house.
“Bigg Boss ka har season alag hota hai, lekin iss baar toh scene hi palat gaya hai.”
He further added, “‘Gharwalon Ki Sarkaar’ ka matlab hai power unke haath mein aur jab power milti hai, toh asli chehre saamne aate hain.”
Salman stated that while contestants now enjoy the freedom of decision-making, every choice will come with consequences.
“Main hamesha kehta hoon, tameez se khelo, par yeh log tameez chhod ke drama le aate hain. This season, they’ll try to run the house their way, but when things go out of control, you know who’s coming back to set the record straight!”
Alok Jain from JioStar emphasised the new direction of the show, stating, “Bigg Boss has always delivered high-impact entertainment. With ‘Gharwalon Ki Sarkaar’, we’re bringing a fresh, unfiltered format that resonates deeply with audiences and keeps them coming back for more.”
He noted that this season’s format—where housemates hold power—will deliver ‘drama, unpredictability, and non-stop engagement’.
Bigg Boss 19 is set to premiere on August 24. Viewers can catch the show at 9 PM on JioHotstar and at 10:30 PM on COLORS.
