Akshay Kumar Applauds PM Modi’s WAVES 2025; Calls It A Game-Changer For Global Entertainment

Akshay Kumar has praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘World Audio Visual Entertainment Summit’ (WAVES). He called it a landmark event with the potential to reshape the global entertainment space.

Taking to Instagram, the Bollywood star expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming WAVES 2025 summit. He described it as a defining moment that could significantly influence how the world views entertainment.

Akshay emphasized India’s growing influence in storytelling and reaffirmed the country’s status as the world’s largest film producer.

On Tuesday, the actor reposted a video message on Instagram, underlining India’s diverse creative landscape. He pointed out that India creates content in over 35 languages and plays a key role in shaping global media trends.

In the video, Akshay stated, “Hello, I am Akshay Kumar. You and I have always known that Indian storytelling has the power to shake the world with our stories. But now, it’s time for the whole world to recognize it. India is the largest producer of films in the world, and we create content in at least 35 languages.”

“Our audio-visual content shapes the media landscape, and our entertainment capabilities have the power to impact the world. A major milestone in this direction is about to be achieved, so get ready for the World Audio-Video Summit Waves 2025. It will be the world’s most powerful gathering of minds that will change the future of global entertainment, right here in our country. India, watch out for it. Jai Hind,” he further noted.

The World Audio-Visual Summit WAVES 2025, spearheaded by PM Modi, will take place from 1 May to 4 May. The event will be held at Mumbai’s Jio World Convention Centre and Jio World Garden.

Earlier, in his December 2024 ‘Mann Ki Baat’ address, Prime Minister Modi had first announced that India would be hosting the WAVES summit for the first time from 5 to 9 February.
