Vikrant Massey, the acclaimed actor currently enjoying the success of his latest film ‘The Sabarmati Report’, has announced that he will step away from acting by 2025.
The 37-year-old took to Instagram on Monday morning to share this surprising decision, expressing his desire to recalibrate and go back home.
In his heartfelt post, Vikrant posted, “Hello, The last few years and beyond have been phenomenal. I thank each and every one of you for your indelible support A But as I move forward, I realise its time to recalibrate and go back home. As a Husband, Father & a Son. And also as an Actor.”
Vikrant revealed that 2025 will mark his final year on screen.
“So coming 2025, we would meet each other for one last time. Until time deems right. Last 2 movies and many a years of memories. Thank you again. For everything and everything in between Forever indebted,” he asserted.

He will also appear in ‘Zero Se Restart’, set for release before his planned departure from the industry.
Born and educated in Mumbai, Vikrant completed his studies at RD National College before making his acting debut in the Disney Channel show Dhoom Machaao Dhoom in 2007.
He later appeared in popular TV shows like Dharam Veer, Qubool Hai, and Balika Vadhu.
His Bollywood journey began in 2013 with Lootera, alongside Ranveer Singh and Sonakshi Sinha.
Over the years, Vikrant showcased his versatility in films like Dil Dhadakne Do, A Death in the Gunj, Chhapaak, and Haseen Dilruba.
His lead role in the 2023 biographical film 12th Fail was widely praised, cementing his reputation as a powerhouse performer.
In 2022, Vikrant married actress Sheetal Thakur, whom he met on the sets of Broken and Beautiful.
Earlier this year, the couple welcomed their first child, a son. Sharing the joyous news on Instagram, Vikrant posted, “07.02.2024 For we have become one. We are bursting with joy and love to announce the arrival of our son. Love, Sheetal and Vikrant.”
