WeWork India leases office space in Bengaluru

WeWork India has leased 2.2 lakh square feet of office space in Bengaluru to open three additional locations with a capacity of 3,600 desks.

WeWork India, situated in Bengaluru, currently has approximately 6.5 million (65 lakh) square feet of space spread over 45 locations in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Pune, and Hyderabad.

The company said in a statement that it had leased 95,000 square feet of space at Embassy Golf Links Business Park to build up two centres with a combined capacity of roughly 1,600 desk spaces.

With a capacity of 2,000 desks, the company has taken 1.25 lakh square feet in Prestige Tech Park Jupiter near Marathahalli.

Almost 60 percent of the space has already been reserved, demonstrating the huge demand for flexible offices.

One of the three facilities is now functioning, and the other two will open soon.

WeWork India stated that it has been expanding its presence in the country since its debut in 2017. Last fiscal, its income increased by 70 percent to over Rs 1,300 crore.

Smartworks, Simpliwork Offices, Awfis, Skootr, The Executive Centre, Urban Vault, IndiQube, 91Springboard, 315Work Avenue, Akasa Coworking, The Office Pass, Avanta India, and BHIVE Workspace are among the prominent co-working businesses, in addition to WeWork India.
