‘Story Of Suraj’ Highlights How Adani’s Clean Energy Is Transforming Lives

Continuing its commitment to sustainable development, the Adani Group has launched Story of Suraj, the third film in its acclaimed #HumKarkeDikhateHain series.

The film tells a moving story of progress and transformation made possible through solar energy, delivered by Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL).

Set in a once-underdeveloped town now illuminated by uninterrupted solar power, Story of Suraj follows Rakesh, a young man returning to his hometown after years away.

He finds the village transformed — with improved crop yields, digitally connected classrooms, functioning hospitals, and thriving local businesses — all powered by clean, reliable solar energy.

Directed by Amit Sharma, the filmmaker behind the hit Badhaai Ho, the film offers a cinematic portrayal of the impact of solar energy on real lives.

Conceptualised by Ogilvy India, the film not only showcases Adani’s technological innovation but also captures the emotional and social shift enabled by clean power.

Ajay Kakar, Head of Corporate Branding at Adani Group, said, “At Adani, we are not just generating electricity — we are enabling change. This film shows how solar power can transform the social fabric of a community. What we’ve portrayed in one town is symbolic of the work we’re doing across India.”

Gautam Adani also posted on X, emphasising the group’s mission to transform lives through clean energy. “In our actions sit the promises we make. Promises to light up lives, to power dreams where darkness once lived, and to bring the sun home to every village. The rays of change are here. Hum Karke Dikhate Hain!”

AGEL: Driving India’s energy transition

Adani Green Energy Limited, one of the largest renewable energy companies globally, is leading India’s clean energy transition.

With a growing portfolio of solar and wind farms, AGEL is building grid-connected, utility-scale renewable energy projects across the country, helping India progress toward its sustainability goals.

“The Story of Suraj adds another human layer to the clean energy narrative,” said Piyush Pandey, Chief Advisor, Ogilvy India. “It demonstrates how technology — when used meaningfully — can improve lives, offering communities the tools to build their own brighter future.”

The film will, however, be shared widely across television, digital platforms, and radio networks, aiming to reach and inspire audiences nationwide.

It’s the latest addition to Adani’s storytelling efforts that highlight its broader mission — not just to deliver power, but to uplift lives and communities.

Through its work in energy, infrastructure, transport, and social development, the Adani Group continues to lead by example, integrating clean energy into its growth strategy.

Its renewable energy initiatives are not only scalable but deeply impactful — lighting homes, fuelling dreams, and laying the foundation for a more inclusive and resilient India.
