Stock market closed: Market closed with a fall on the day of weekly expiry

Stock market closed: On the day of the weekly expiry, the market saw a huge decline. Nifty fell 129 points to 17,322, Nifty Bank fell 308 points to 40,390, and Sensex fell 502 points to close at 58,909. Of the 50 Nifty stocks, 36 closed in the red and 14 in the green. Out of 12 shares of Nifty Bank, 12 are closed in red. Sensex was bought in 5 stocks while sold in 25. Today, there was a decline in IT, auto, and banking stocks while there was buying in realty, PSE stocks. On the other hand, the pressure was seen in FMCG, and infra stocks, while small-medium stocks were also seen trading in a limited range today. The Realty index rose 2 percent in today’s trade. At the same time, IT, Auto, and Bank closed with a decline of 1 percent in the index.
