Stock market live: Mixed Indications from global market, slight gain in SGX NIFTY

Stock Market close: There was pressure in the market on the first day of the business week. Nifty closed down 100 points at 17,845, Nifty Bank closed down 430 points at 40,702 and Sensex closed down 311 points at 60,692. Buying in 12 stocks of Sensex while selling in 18. 30 stocks of Nifty closed in red and 20 in the green mark. 11 shares of Nifty Bank closed in red and 1 in the green mark. Selling was seen in banking, pharma, and energy stocks. Metal, PSE, and Realty FMCG stocks were under pressure. Midcap and Smallcap indexes were seen trading in the range.
