Stock Market Closed: Market Closes in Red Mark on Last Day of Trading Week

Stock Market Closed: The market started flat on the last day of the trading week. Talking about today’s trading session, Nifty, and Sensex closed down by almost half per cent. Nifty went 80 points down and closed at 18,028. Nifty Bank went up to 178 points and closed at 42,507. Meanwhile, Sensex went down to 237 points and closed at 60,622. There was a slight increase in banking and PSE shares. Selling was seen in midcap, and smallcap stocks. FMCG, metal, and realty stocks declined. The was pressure on Pharma, Infra, and Auto stocks. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 36 closed in the red and 13 in the green. 7 out of 12 shares of Nifty Bank closed in green and 5 in red mark. Purchasing was seen in 10 stocks of Sensex while selling was in 20.
