Reliance Retail Ventures Limited (RRVL) achieved a significant milestone in 2024 by opening a total of 779 new stores, setting a record by opening more than two stores every day. With this expansion, the total number of Reliance Retail stores across India has now reached 19,102. Over the past year, these stores attracted 296 million customers, according to the company’s quarterly results.
In the third quarter of fiscal year 2025, Reliance Retail posted a revenue of ₹90,333 crore, marking an 8.8% increase compared to the same period last year. The company’s EBITDA also saw growth, rising to ₹6,828 crore. Commenting on the results, Mukesh Ambani, Chairman of Reliance, stated, “The retail segment, with contributions from all formats, has shown strong performance. Reliance Retail continues to enhance the shopping experience for its customers through its extensive reach and diverse product range.”

Isha Ambani, Executive Director of Reliance Retail Ventures Limited, expressed excitement over the performance, saying, “Reliance Retail made the festive season a memorable experience. Our focus on diversity and quality at affordable prices attracted customers to both our stores and digital platforms.”
The retailer maintained its market dominance by excelling across all categories. The grocery segment saw an impressive 37% year-on-year growth, while consumer electronics grew by 12%. In the fashion and lifestyle portfolio, brands like GAP and AJIO achieved record sales. Additionally, the toy brand Hamleys expanded by opening three new stores in Italy. The company also anticipates that its brands, such as Campa and Independence, will surpass ₹1,000 crore in business in fiscal year 2025.
