FICCI awarded Reliance Foundation, led by Mrs Nita M Ambani, Founder and Chairperson, the Best Corporate Promoting Sports – High Performance accolade at the India Sports Awards 2025.

The honour highlights the organisation’s sustained efforts in supporting Indian athletes and promoting high-performance sports across the country.

In her acceptance speech, Mrs Ambani emphasised the pivotal role of collaborative efforts in building India’s sporting future.

She said the next decade could become a ‘golden era for Indian sport’. She highlighted the importance of support from the government, corporates, sports bodies like FICCI, young athletes, and their families.

“The focus is not just on medals, but on nation-building through sport,” she stated, underlining Reliance Foundation’s commitment to nurturing talent and creating pathways for athletes to excel on the global stage.

Driving India’s Multi-Sporting Ambitions

Reliance Foundation has actively developed sporting infrastructure, provided professional coaching, and fostered talent across disciplines. Its high-performance programmes have empowered athletes to compete internationally, enhancing India’s presence in world sports.

The award recognises these comprehensive efforts, acknowledging how corporate involvement can play a transformative role in advancing sports culture in India.

With continued collaboration among corporates, government, and sporting bodies, Reliance Foundation aims to propel India into a multi-sporting powerhouse.

Mrs Ambani’s vision underscores the belief that sports contribute not only to individual excellence but also to the country’s broader social and cultural development.

The FICCI India Sports Awards continue to celebrate organisations and individuals driving the growth of sports in India. They also inspire the next generation of athletes to pursue excellence at the highest levels.
