Pranav Adani Backs Maharashtra Growth Vision; Reaffirms Adani Group’s Six Lakh Crore Investment Commitment

Adani Group Director Pranav Adani on Thursday praised Maharashtra’s economic progress and reaffirmed the group’s commitment to supporting the state’s development.

Speaking at the launch of ‘Invest Maharashtra’, Adani described the initiative as an institutional milestone and an engine for turning the vision of Viksit Maharashtra into reality.

He said Maharashtra plays a crucial role in India’s journey towards becoming the world’s third-largest economy. He described Mumbai as the country’s financial fuel and credited the state’s political leadership, administrators and officials for improving the ease of doing business.

Adani said the group’s partnership with Maharashtra spans decades. He highlighted investment commitments exceeding Rs 6 lakh crore across energy, aviation and aero-districts, urban regeneration, data centres and coal gasification.

Projects worth Rs 2.6 lakh crore have already been completed or are under execution, he said.

He highlighted the group’s role in managing Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport and developing Navi Mumbai International Airport. The latter is eventually expected to handle more than 90 million passengers annually.

Through Adani Electricity Mumbai Limited, the group supplies power to over 3 million homes and establishments. Adani said more than 60 per cent of its power supply comes from renewable sources.

He highlighted the 1,000 MW HVDC transmission link bringing clean power into Mumbai and pumped-storage hydro projects across Maharashtra.

Adani said the group follows a people-first approach in the Dharavi Redevelopment Project. It plans modern housing, protects micro-enterprises and focuses on community-led redevelopment.

He reaffirmed the group’s commitment to working with the Maharashtra government and its people, saying, “When Maharashtra wins, India wins.”
