The Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) has emerged as a prominent cultural platform in India.
Since opening in March 2023, the Mumbai centre has hosted more than 3,500 shows and welcomed nearly 2.5 million guests. More than 10,500 artists have featured acro ss its programmes.
The centre has presented music, theatre, dance and visual arts in more than 15 languages. Its programming combines Indian artistic traditions with international productions, creating a broad cultural ecosystem in Mumbai.
NMACC was conceived as a multidisciplinary destination that could bring Indian creativity to wider audiences while introducing global artistic productions to India. Its programming has expanded beyond individual performances into a year-round cultural calendar.
The centre has featured Indian artists and artisans alongside international productions. This approach has helped position Mumbai as an increasingly significant destination for large-scale cultural experiences.
NMACC’s three-year journey has recorded more than 3,500 shows, 10,500 artists and nearly 2.5 million visitors. These figures reflect the scale of its cultural programming and audience reach. Its vision centres on making the arts more accessible while creating opportunities for artists to reach wider audiences.
The centre has now entered its next phase with a stronger emphasis on cultural participation and emerging talent.
The NMACC has announced youth-focused initiatives featuring inter-school and inter-collegiate programmes in dance, drama, music and art, alongside workshops and internships. These programmes aim to encourage young talent to develop skills and find platforms for expression.
