Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, marked India’s 79th Independence Day by reaffirming his commitment to the vision of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’. He pledged to continue building vital infrastructure — from mighty bridges to modern ports — that strengthens the country’s growth.
In his Independence Day post on X, Adani wished the nation and released a short video showcasing the Group’s contributions to self-reliance.
Taking to X, he posted, “Wishing all Indians a happy 79th Independence Day! On this day, let us renew our pledge to our freedom, forged by the indomitable spirit of Atmanirbharta — the spirit to innovate, to discover, to build. From mighty bridges to modern ports, from our laboratories to our skies, may science, research and technology light India’s path. In unity and ingenuity, our nation stands unshakeable. Jai Hind!”
Last month, Adani announced that the Group will invest nearly $100 billion over the next five years. He described the plan as the largest-ever capital expenditure commitment in India’s private sector history.
“We are strengthening the very spine of India’s rise that must carry 1.4 billion dreams,” Adani said at an event in Mumbai.
Adani said the investments would focus on expanding energy grids, logistics arteries, and the country’s industrial backbone. He highlighted the Group’s transformation of Mundra Port from a salt export jetty into India’s largest multi-cargo port.
“What started in our karmabhoomi has now become a pan-India network of dreams,” he noted.
The Adani Group has grown into the world’s second-largest solar power company and is building the largest single-site hybrid renewable energy park — a 30 GW facility spread over 500 square kilometres.
With these investments and projects, Gautam Adani reiterated that the Group remains committed to powering India’s growth and advancing the nation’s self-reliance mission.
