Market Outlook For Next Week: Key Domestic And Global Cues To Watch

Several domestic and global triggers, including Q4 FY25 earnings, Industrial Production (IIP) data, FII activity, and key US economic indicators, will shape the stock market in the coming week.

Companies such as Adani Green, Adani Total Gas, KPIT Tech, TVS Motors, Ambuja Cements, Bajaj Finserv, Bajaj Finance, BPCL, Adani Power, JSW Infra, and Vedanta will post their March quarter results.

India will release its March IIP (YoY) data on April 28. This data will show how India’s industrial and manufacturing sectors performed. It may also influence short-term market direction.

On April 30, the US will release two key reports: ADP Nonfarm Employment Change and Q1 GDP (QoQ). These will offer insights into job growth and overall economic health.

Bajaj Broking Research said these reports could move markets and impact central bank policy.

The Indian stock market ended last week in the green. The Sensex rose 0.80% to 79,212.53. The Nifty also gained 0.80%, closing at 24,039.35.

A breakthrough in the US-India trade deal and easing US-China tensions lifted investor mood.

The IT sector topped the chart with a 6.56% weekly gain.

Meanwhile, the Media index dropped 2.11%, making it the worst performer.

Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPIs) turned heavy net buyers. They invested around ₹17,800 crore in the cash segment.

Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) also bought ₹1,132 crore worth of equities.

Puneet Singhania, Director at Master Trust Group, noted the Nifty rose 0.79% this week. It closed above the 24,000 mark, breaking a key psychological barrier.

He added that support lies at 23,800 and 23,500, near the 21-day exponential moving average (21DEMA).

Resistance stands at 24,360. A breakout above this could open the path to 24,700.

The Indian stock market will remain shut on May 1 for Maharashtra Day. This may affect trading volumes at the start of the week.
