Former cricketer Kapil Dev has been an inspiration for many. The 1983 ODI World Cup has probably been one of the best achievements provided by the former cricketer to Indian cricket. After taking retirement from Indian cricket, Kapil spent most of his time playing golf and is often witnessed at public events.
Kapil Dev often shares his important views related to sports. This time, the former cricketer was seen at a private event, which was organised by the Adani Group in Ahmedabad. He expressed his views while attending the event, the former cricketer also praised Adani Group chairman, Gautam Adani.
During his interaction at the private event organised by Adani Group, Kapil Dev praised Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani, expressing admiration for his work ethic. He stated, “Don’t focus on the setbacks when things don’t go well.”
“Even Gautam bhai has faced ups and downs, with international critics trying to bring him down. But he continues to work hard, and in the end, people will recognize his true worth”, he added.
In addition to praising Gautam Adani, Kapil Dev also commented on Team India’s performance in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. The former all-rounder noted that the Indian team played well in Perth but struggled significantly in Adelaide.
He also mentioned that the Rohit Sharma-led side has faced some challenges in the series, and with two matches remaining, the team needs to maintain a positive mindset.
Furthermore, Kapil Dev said, “They played exceptionally well in the first test but struggled in the second and third tests. Despite facing challenges, they managed to survive. There are still two more test matches left.
“The key is to stay positive and focus on what can be learned from the previous match to move forward. It’s important to maintain a positive mindset as they prepare for the next test”, he added.
