Jio Turns 10: Akash Ambani Outlines AI, Connectivity And Technology Roadmap

Reliance Jio has completed 10 years of operations, marking a decade of rapid expansion across India’s telecommunications and digital sectors.

Chairman Akash Ambani has outlined the company’s roadmap for the next decade in a letter to employees.

Jio plans to deepen its focus on artificial intelligence (AI), connectivity and emerging technologies while expanding its digital products and enterprise solutions.

Akash Ambani said Jio has evolved beyond its original identity as a telecommunications company.

The business now operates across connectivity, digital products, enterprise solutions and AI, with technology at the centre of its next phase of growth.

The company plans to scale technologies developed in India across domestic and international markets. Its broader ambition is to take Indian innovation to a global audience and build products that can compete across markets.

Akash Ambani identified AI as one of the biggest forces shaping the coming decade. He further said the technology could transform how people and businesses work by enabling new products, addressing complex problems and simplifying everyday tasks.

Jio is therefore building its technology ecosystem and digital platforms around the opportunities created by AI.

Akash Ambani credited Jio’s employees for the company’s journey over the past decade. He said Jio’s story extends beyond its numbers and achievements, highlighting the people who embraced challenges and consistently put customers first. He further thanked his father and Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani, whose vision and guidance, he said, played an important role in shaping Jio’s journey.

Roadmap for the Next Decade

Akash Ambani said Jio has much to celebrate after its first 10 years, but stressed that the company still has a long road ahead.

Over the next decade, Jio will focus on developing new technologies, expanding its digital ecosystem and taking Indian technology and innovation to global markets.
