Isuzu Motors India Becomes Top CV Exporter In FY25 With 24% Growth

Isuzu Motors India has emerged as the top commercial vehicle (CV) exporter in India for the financial year 2024–25, with exports reaching 20,312 units,  a 24% jump from 16,329 units in the previous year.

This marks the company’s highest annual CV export figure since it began operations, underscoring its growing contribution to Isuzu’s global strategy.

Manufacturing Base For Global Markets

Isuzu Motors India continues to play a crucial role in expanding the brand’s global reach, especially in the pickup truck segment.

By leveraging its state-of-the-art facility in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh, the company is strategically positioned to cater to both Indian and international markets.

The plant serves left-hand and right-hand drive markets across Asia and the Middle East, including Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, and Jordan.

World-Class Quality Driving Demand

“We see continued and growing demand for India-made Isuzu vehicles in key global markets. This strong export performance is a testament to the world-class quality, reliability, and performance of our vehicles, made in India,” said Toru Kishimoto, Deputy Managing Director, Isuzu Motors India.

He emphasized that the company’s export volumes have grown steadily over the years due to a diverse product portfolio that aligns with international standards.

Since launching its operations in 2016, the Sri City plant has been at the heart of Isuzu’s India operations.

In a significant milestone, the facility recently rolled out its 1,00,000th vehicle.

The company began its Phase-II expansion in 2020, which included a new press shop and engine assembly plant to enhance production capabilities.

Commitment To Global Standards

“Every vehicle we produce in India is built to the same global standards that define the Isuzu brand worldwide,” said Rajesh Mittal, President and Managing Director, Isuzu Motors India. “These ‘Made-in-India’ vehicles reflect our robust manufacturing processes, proven product DNA, and our commitment to serving both domestic and international markets.”

In addition to its export success, Isuzu Motors India is actively expanding its domestic network to bring the brand closer to customers.

The company has increased its touchpoints across India in recent months, aiming to meet the needs of a growing customer base.

Isuzu’s achievements in FY25 reflect India’s increasing importance as a global manufacturing and export hub for automobiles.

The company’s focus on quality, reliability, and international expansion continues to position it as a strong player in the global CV market.
