inDrive joined forces with the Chandigarh Traffic Police on International Women’s Day to raise awareness about road safety. The initiative aimed to highlight the importance of safe driving and ensure better safety for all road users.
The campaign kicked off with a session on road safety for inDrive drivers, hosted by the Chandigarh Traffic Police. Following the session, an all-women bike rally took place, highlighting key messages such as “Don’t Drink and Drive” and “Keep to the Left”. Dr Parvesh Sharma, Inspector of the Chandigarh Traffic Police, flagged off the rally, drawing attention to crucial road safety issues.
In addition, the inDrive team distributed helmets to women riders in Chandigarh who were not wearing helmets while riding two-wheelers.
Dr Parvesh Sharma expressed appreciation for the collaboration, saying, “We urge citizens to abide by traffic rules, which will help make the city safer for everyone. We thank inDrive for their support in this initiative, which will go a long way in sensitizing citizens on the importance of road safety.”
Shashank Shekhar, Driver Operations Specialist at inDrive, emphasized the company’s commitment to safety, stating, “We encourage our drivers to follow the rules of the road as everyone’s safety is important. On this special Women’s Day, we collaborated with Chandigarh Traffic Police to challenge injustice on the roads and make the city safer.” He also highlighted that inDrive has partnered with the Chandigarh Traffic Police to provide specialized road safety training for drivers, ensuring women’s safety during rides.
This collaboration underscores inDrive’s dedication to ensuring the safety of both its drivers and passengers, particularly emphasizing the protection of women on the roads.
