Gautam Adani Launches Vande Bharatam To Back Indian Innovators

Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani has launched ‘Vande Bharatam’, a nationwide initiative aimed at identifying and supporting innovators, entrepreneurs and problem-solvers from across India.

The programme, announced on the occasion of his 64th birthday, seeks to create opportunities for talented individuals whose ideas often remain undiscovered due to limited access to resources, networks and visibility.

The initiative will cover all 36 states and Union Territories, more than 800 districts and multiple Indian languages, making it one of the country’s most extensive entrepreneurship outreach programmes.

Announcing the initiative, Gautam Adani reflected on his own journey and emphasised the need to expand opportunities beyond major urban centres. He said India possesses immense talent, but many aspiring innovators still struggle to access the support required to transform ideas into successful ventures.

Although India has emerged as one of the world’s largest startup ecosystems, a significant share of founders continue to come from a handful of major cities.

Gautam Adani has launched ‘Vande Bharatam’, a national entrepreneurship platform by the Adani Group to discover and support innovators from all backgrounds.

Applicants can submit ideas, prototypes, or businesses across sectors like agriculture, technology, manufacturing, sustainability, and crafts.

The programme promotes the inclusion of women, rural and tribal entrepreneurs, and Divyang innovators.

Entries will be judged on innovation, impact, and scalability.

After regional selection, 75 finalists will join a mentorship programme in Ahmedabad with incubation, investor access, and awards.

The finale around Independence Day will launch a long-term innovation network.

The initiative aligns with India’s broader vision of becoming a developed nation by 2047, recognising entrepreneurship and innovation as key drivers of economic growth, job creation and social development.
