Gautam Adani Applauds First Batch Of Women NDA Cadets For Making History

Seventeen women cadets etched their names in history by graduating from the National Defence Academy (NDA) for the first time.

They completed the 148th course and participated in the Passing Out Parade in Pune on Friday, marching alongside over 300 male cadets.

Adani Calls It Nation’s Resolve

Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani praised the achievement, calling it a symbol of national resolve.

“Proof. Precedent. Possibility. Congratulations to all the first women NDA cadets as they start their march forward,” he posted on X.

The post further added, “They carry not just dreams but a nation’s resolve. The path is new. The message is timeless. Jai Hind.”

Supreme Court Order Opened NDA Doors To Women

These pioneering cadets joined the NDA in 2022, following a Supreme Court interim order that allowed women to seek admission to the prestigious tri-services academy.

Division Cadet Captain Shriti Daksh ranked highest in the Bachelor of Arts stream.

Cadet Lucky Kumar led the Science stream, Battalion Cadet Captain Prince Kumar Singh Kushwaha topped Computer Science, and Cadet Captain Udayveer Singh Negi stood first in B Tech.

NDA Ministers Hail Historic Moment

Former Army Chief and current Mizoram Governor VK Singh, who reviewed the Passing Out Parade, described the event as a proud moment for India.

“A new chapter in the legacy of NDA, where courage knows no gender, and leadership knows no bounds,” he said.

Union Minister Pralhad Joshi also commended the milestone, calling it a testament to the ‘indomitable spirit of Indian women’.

He wrote on X, “With unwavering resolve and sheer determination, women cadets have made history today by graduating from the National Defence Academy. This step reaffirms our commitment to inclusivity and empowerment in our armed forces.”

As the nation watched history unfold, leaders and citizens alike celebrated the grit, courage, and determination of these trailblazing cadets, heralding a new era of inclusivity in India’s armed forces.
