Ganesh Festival 2026: Adani Electricity Offers Temporary Pandal Connections At Residential Rates

Adani Electricity has announced a special arrangement to support Ganesh Festival celebrations in Mumbai by providing temporary electricity connections to pandals at residential rates.

The initiative aims to give pandal organisers dependable electricity throughout the festive period and ensure uninterrupted power for devotees and visitors.

Organisers can apply for the temporary supply through the ‘New Connection’ section on the Adani Electricity website.

The company said applicants can receive their connections within 48 hours of submitting the required application.

Adani Electricity said it successfully maintained uninterrupted power supply for more than 1,000 Ganesh pandals across Mumbai during last year’s celebrations.

The company has strengthened its preparations this year to accelerate connection approvals and maintain reliable electricity during the festival. It has positioned a dedicated Quick Response Team at strategic locations to deal with complaints and resolve technical problems quickly.

“By offering reliable temporary electricity connections for Ganesh Pandals, we aim to ensure the festival’s spirit is celebrated with uninterrupted power. This initiative reflects our dedication to serving our customers,” an Adani Electricity spokesperson said.

The company has urged pandal organisers to appoint only authorised licensed electrical contractors for wiring and other electrical work.

Organisers must complete the wiring before connecting the power supply and restrict access to the meter cabin to authorised personnel. They must use standard wires and switches, provide proper earthing and install a single isolation point for emergencies. They should insulate exposed wires with standard insulation tape and ensure that the meter cabin and switches remain easily accessible.

Adani Electricity will illuminate idol immersion locations during the festival.

“We will be providing illumination with 2,958 floodlights at over 167 idol immersion locations”, the spokesperson further said.

Organisers must keep a fire extinguisher with clear operating instructions near the meter cabin. They must place a danger board at an appropriate location. They must further ensure that the connected load does not exceed the sanctioned limit.

The company has advised against unauthorised extensions, direct power connections and unnecessary wiring joints.
