Elon Musk Congratulates PM Modi As Most Followed World Leader On Social Media

Renowned tech billionaire Elon Musk has extended congratulation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for achieving the milestone of becoming the most followed worlfd leader on social media platform X. Musk took to the platform on Friday to express his admiration, saying “Congratulations PM Narendra Modi on being the most followed world leader!”

Prime Minister Modi attained this distinction on July 14, announcing the achievement himself on X with a post that celebrated his engagement with the platform’s vibrant community. In his message, he expressed gratitude for the discussions, insights, blessings, constructive criticism, and more that he has received. He also looked forward to continued engagement in the future.

In the realm of Indian politics, Prime Minister Modi’s social media dominance is evident. His 100 million followers on X significantly overshadow the followings of other prominent Indian politicians. For instance, Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi has 26.4 million followers, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal commands 27.5 million, and Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav has 19.9 million followers.

Notably, Prime Minister Modi’s X following alone surpasses the combined followers of all other leaders within the INDIA bloc, totaling 95 million.

The scale of Prime Minister Modi’s social media reach is staggering. His 100 million followers on X exceed multiples the populations of Canada, the UK, Germany, Italy, Australia, and New Zealand.

On a global scale, Prime Minister Modi’s social media presence also outshines many other world leaders. He surpasses US President Joe Biden (38.1 million followers), Pope Francis (18.5 million), and Recep Tayyip Erdogan (21.5 million), among others.

Prime Minister Modi’s influential presence on social media has not only garnered attention from world leaders seeking engagement but has also eclipsed the followings of prominent global athletes and celebrities. His organic approach to social media engagement, marked by direct interaction with followers and a refusal of paid promotions, underscores his genuine connection with a vast and diverse audience.
