Audi, the iconic German luxury car brand, reported retail sales of 5,816 units for the year 2024, a strong performance despite facing supply-related challenges in the first half of the year. The company experienced a remarkable 36 percent increase in sales during the fourth quarter, compared to the third quarter, thanks to improved supply levels.
Balbir Singh Dhillon, Head of Audi India, acknowledged the challenges the company faced earlier in the year but emphasized the continued demand for Audi’s products. “The first half of 2024 brought supply-related challenges for Audi India, yet the continued demand for our products reflects the enduring trust our customers place in the brand,” Dhillon stated. He also highlighted the 36 percent sales growth in the fourth quarter and celebrated Audi’s achievement of selling 100,000 cars in India.
Audi India’s pre-owned car division, Audi Approved: plus, also saw impressive growth, reporting a 32 percent increase in 2024 compared to the previous year. To meet the rising demand for luxury pre-owned vehicles, the brand opened its largest luxury used car showroom in the Northeast in Guwahati, along with a new facility in Mangalore. With 26 showrooms across major cities, Audi plans to expand further to strengthen its position in the pre-owned luxury car market.
Audi India celebrated a major milestone in 2024, reaching 100,000 cars on Indian roads. To commemorate this achievement, the company launched a special ‘100 Days of Celebration’ campaign, offering exclusive benefits to customers and strengthening its bond with the Indian market.
The year 2024 also saw the successful launch of the Audi Q8 and Audi Q7, both of which contributed to the brand’s leadership in the luxury SUV segment. These new models generated excitement among customers, further reinforcing Audi’s position in India’s competitive luxury car market.
Audi India’s current product lineup includes a range of vehicles designed to cater to the tastes of luxury car enthusiasts. This lineup features the Audi A4, Audi A6, Audi Q3, Audi Q3 Sportback, Audi Q5, Audi Q7, Audi Q8, Audi S5 Sportback, Audi RS Q8, Audi Q8 e-tron, Audi Q8 e-tron Sportback, Audi e-tron GT, and Audi RS e-tron GT.
With strong growth in both new and pre-owned car sales, Audi India is well-positioned to continue its success in the Indian automotive market, driven by customer loyalty and an expanding portfolio.
