Adani Ports Delivers Strong Q3 Show With Profit And Revenue Gains

Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited (APSEZ) reported a strong set of numbers for the December quarter of FY26, with consolidated net profit rising 21 per cent year-on-year to Rs 3,043 crore. In the same period last year, the company had posted a net profit of Rs 2,518 crore, as disclosed in its regulatory filing.

The company’s consolidated revenue also recorded healthy growth, increasing 22 per cent to Rs 9,705 crore during the quarter, compared with Rs 7,964 crore in Q3 FY25.

The strong performance was driven by steady growth across APSEZ’s core segments, including ports, logistics, marine services, and overseas operations. The company continued to hold a dominant position in the domestic market, retaining an all-India container market share of 45.8 per cent.

Domestic port operations delivered a 15 per cent rise in revenue, while EBITDA climbed to a record high of Rs 4,877 crore, underlining improved scale and efficiency.

Logistics and Marine Segments Shine

The logistics business emerged as a major growth engine, with revenue from asset-light services jumping 62 per cent year-on-year to Rs 1,121 crore. International freight network services also reported better profitability during the quarter.

Marine services posted a sharp upswing, with revenue nearly doubling to Rs 773 crore, supported by continued vessel additions and higher operational activity.

Commenting on the results, Ashwani Gupta, Whole-time Director and CEO of APSEZ, said, “As India’s largest and the world’s fastest-growing integrated transport utility, APSEZ has once again delivered a strong and resilient performance.”

He added, “Sustained momentum across our four business pillars, combined with the consolidation of NQXT, has enabled us to raise the upper end of our FY26 EBITDA guidance by a robust Rs 800 crore.”

Improved credit ratings further reflected the company’s financial strength. The Japan Credit Rating Agency assigned APSEZ an ‘A-‘ rating with a stable outlook, placing it a notch above India’s sovereign rating.

Moody’s also upgraded its outlook on the company to ‘Stable’ from ‘Negative’, while maintaining its Baa3 rating.

On the sustainability front, Adani Ports became the first Indian port-sector company, and one of a few globally, to adopt the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures, highlighting its focus on environmentally responsible infrastructure development.
