Adani Group Invests Rs 10,000 Crore In Telangana; Eyes Further Projects

The Adani Group has invested Rs 10,000 crore in Telangana over the past three years and plans to expand its projects in the state, Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd (APSEZ) Managing Director Karan Adani said on Monday.

Speaking at the Telangana Rising Global Summit near Hyderabad, he noted that the group’s investments have spanned infrastructure and manufacturing facilities, generating employment for more than 7,000 people.

“This platform reflects the ambition and confidence with which Telangana is shaping its future,” Karan Adani said.

He praised the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, citing transparent governance, rapid decision-making, and long-term economic planning as factors that have enabled industries to invest with confidence.

Karan Adani emphasised the state’s focus on sustainable growth, innovation, talent development, and global competitiveness.

Expansion into Key Sectors

Over recent years, the Adani Group has expanded into defence manufacturing, green data centres, renewable energy, and cement production in Telangana.

Highlighting the defence sector, Karan Adani revealed the development of the country’s first long-endurance UAV manufacturing facility in Hyderabad.

The facility supplies UAVs to the Indian armed forces and international markets, providing direct employment to over 1,500 youth and supporting a broader ecosystem of livelihoods.

In digital infrastructure, the group is establishing a 48-megawatt green data centre in Telangana with an investment of Rs 2,500 crore.

The facility will focus on AI, cloud technology, and high-performance computing, contributing to India’s rapidly digitising economy.

Karan Adani also highlighted the group’s role in enhancing logistics and transport infrastructure.

The Adani Group has invested Rs 4,000 crore in road projects, constructing over 100 km of highways connecting key districts, including Mancherial, Suryapet, Kodad, and Khammam.

Additionally, Adani Cements has invested Rs 2,000 crore in state-of-the-art cement manufacturing facilities, with a combined capacity of seven million tonnes per annum, to support the state’s infrastructure growth.
