The Adani Foundation has announced a donation of Rs 100 crore to support the establishment of the Young India Skills University in Telangana. Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, presented the cheque to Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy during a meeting in Hyderabad. The initiative aims to equip students with industry-relevant skills, creating a lasting impact on future generations.
During the meeting, Gautam Adani expressed pride in contributing to Telangana’s transformative vision. The Young India Skills University, set to launch its first courses on November 4, will train 2,000 youth in its inaugural year. Adani Logistics has been named as one of the industry partners, focusing on logistics and e-commerce, ensuring that students gain hands-on experience and employment opportunities.
The newly established university will initially operate from the Engineering Staff College of India and National Academy of Construction in Hyderabad. Courses will be offered in logistics, e-commerce, healthcare, and pharmaceuticals. Anand Mahindra chairs the university board, reinforcing its commitment to providing high-quality, skill-based education in partnership with industry leaders.
