Adani Cement Launches FutureX To Connect Students With Real-World Infrastructure Challenges

Adani Cement on Monday unveiled ‘Adani Cement FutureX’, a nationwide initiative aimed at linking academic learning with practical industry and sustainability challenges.

Coinciding with Engineer’s Day, the programme will involve 100 leading engineering institutions, including IITs, NITs, and top private and state colleges, as well as over 100 premier schools across 70 cities.

The initiative is to prepare students for careers in sustainable construction, advanced building solutions, and future-ready business models, the company said.

Vinod Bahety, CEO of Adani Cement, stated, “Adani Cement FutureX is our commitment to scale partnerships with academia and accelerate innovation, sustainability, and talent development. By connecting students from schools to engineering campuses with real-world industry challenges, we are building a seamless bridge from curiosity to careers, ensuring India’s growth story is powered by leaders ready with ideas and responsibility.”

A key feature of the programme is the Adani Cement Smart Lab, which presents a live cement manufacturing model, including a mini rotary kiln, allowing students to explore chemistry, robotics, and artificial intelligence applications firsthand.

Participants will also learn about process and product innovations, such as nanomaterials, R&D on advanced building materials, and EV equipment used in plants, through interactive classroom tools designed to stimulate creativity across science, technology, finance, and marketing.

FutureX includes field visits, immersive experiences, knowledge sessions, leadership engagement, collaborative research, and career guidance, along with leveraging the Indian Concrete Journal network for industry–academia collaborations.

Reflecting Adani Group Vision

Reflecting Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani’s vision of ‘Temples of Education’ and ‘Karma Shiksha’, and his remarks at IIT Kharagpur calling students the ‘new freedom fighters of Bharat’, the programme is among the largest academia–industry collaborations in India’s building materials sector.

Adani Cement already supports more than 1,500 Graduate Engineer Trainees (GETs) and Diploma Engineer Trainees (DETs) and conducts advanced leadership programmes for developing future leaders.

With an installed capacity of over 104.5 million tonnes per year, Adani Cement now supplies nearly 30 per cent of India’s cement for housing and infrastructure projects.
