America Can Be Free Of Violence Provided Few Things Are Taken Care Of

The most powerful and prosperous country in the world, America is also known as the most violent country in the world. Why is it so that there is no other country in the world having more violence than America?

Though having the largest number of people belonging to Christianity, America has no practical effect of the non-violence message by Jesus Christ.

A few days ago a gunman just went on a rampage in Los Angeles. With a population of sixty thousand, this town is dominated by people of Asian origin, especially folks from Chinese origin. The incident happened when they were celebrating Chinese New Year, and a gunman killed ten people. Bullet shots also wounded many people. Year 2023 has already witnessed such incidents previously and now after this ocurrance, this shows that such violent incidents of this kind happen almost every day in America.

Around forty thousand of lives are lost last year after being shot by gun bullets. This is the biggest number of murders in any country globally. Not even in wars witness the killing of these many people.  In other words, it seems, America is always in a state of war. Being a world leader status nation, there should be peace and harmony so prevalent in America that it can inspire other countries globally. Though Countries like India and China are four to five times bigger than America, they do not have this much violence.

The perpetual question needs a proper answer here – Can money and luxury buy you harmony and peace? To be realistic, America’s capitalist society has basically turned into a consumerist society. Everyone is too deeply engrossed in materialism. They only keep earning money indiscriminately spending it indiscriminately.

Indians and people from other countries run to America for a better life with a better monetary gain expectations. Still, Indians driven by their age-old culture, like to live in dignity. People from many such countries settle there, for whom money is not less significant than God. For that reason, they are prepared to do anything. Those who are unable to earn money grow huge envy, malice and hatred within them. These are the people who resort to mass violence.

Going by the history of American, this first started between aborigines (Red Indians) and whites coming to the continent from Europe and later on violence started between whites and blacks. Now finally it is seen taking place everywhere with everyone every time. With no legal intervention by the government, the tradition of carrying arms to basically avoid violence now is the reason for today’s uninterruptible violence in the continent. As long as the lifestyle do not invite the traits of of peace, renunciation and disarmament in America, such incidents are probably bound to happen ceaselessly.
