An unanticipated turn of events occurred when the pilot of a small aircraft departing from Westchester, New York, experienced a medical emergency with pilot during the final approach. An aboard passenger from Connecticut bravely took control of the aeroplane and made an attempt to land it safely.

The plane made a crash landing at Martha’s Vineyard Airport in West Tisbury, Massachusetts, amid the chaos. The 2006 Piper Meridian’s left wing broke in half as a result of the collision, giving the passengers a terrifying experience.

Pilot’s condition critical

Medical aid was provided at the area shortly after emergency services arrived. The 79-year-old pilot was in critical and potentially fatal condition when he was flown to a hospital in Boston.
