US Singer Mary Millben Backs PM Modi’s Leadership On Manipur Issue

Renowned US singer Mary Millben has once again displayed ‌ unwavering solidarity towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the ongoing ‘Manipur issue’ as she took it to her social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) on Thursday.

This comes shortly after her heartfelt gratitude in July for commending Modi for publicly addressing the “inhuman behavior against women” in the conflict-ridden northeastern state.

Now, Millben reinforces her stance, declaring that “Modi will always fight for your freedom” and that India has confidence in its leader.

Millben, who had the honor of meeting Modi during his June state visit, has used her voice to echo India’s resolute faith in its leader.

“The truth: India has confidence in its leader. The mothers, daughters, and women of #Manipur, India will receive justice. And #PMModi will always fight for your freedom.”

Addressing Political Landscape and Leadership

In addressing India’s political landscape, Millben subtly addressed the opposition, likely pointing towards the Congress party.

“The truth: to associate with a party that dishonors cultural legacy, denies children the right to sing the anthem of its country, and degrades one’s country abroad, this is not leadership. This is unprincipled,” she said.

Her sentiments encompass the power of truth in the face of misinformation and empty rhetoric.

“Dishonest journalism will paint false narratives. Opposition voices will chant loudly without substance. But the truth, the truth will always set people free,” Millben further wrote.

Resonating With Martin Luther King Jr.’s Wisdom

Channeling the wisdom of Martin Luther King Jr.’s, renowned words, “Let Freedom Ring,” who was an iconic figurehead of the mid-1950s American civil rights movement and a Nobel Peace Prize laureate, Millben wrote, “My beloved India, let truth…ring.”

Millben’s support extends even to the political sphere, as she stands firmly with Modi amid a ‘no-confidence motion’ directed at his government.

“You have my confidence. I’m praying for you. #LokSabha,” she wrote.

In the ever-evolving landscape of international relations, Millben’s vocal advocacy serves as a bridge of unity, transcending boundaries and emphasizing shared values.

Amid the Manipur issue, her statements serve as a poignant reminder of the strength that unity brings and the significance of authentic leadership.
