US President, Joe Biden talks about Hamas Group
US President Joe Biden described the attack by Hamas group on Israel as “an act of sheer evil” and said he never really imagined seeing “pictures of terrorists beheading children….. There are moments in this life — I mean this literally — when a pure, unadulterated evil is unleashed on this world,” he said during a televised White House address earlier today. “This is an act of sheer evil,” Biden added.
Later, a White House representative told the media that Biden was actually referring to “reports from Israel” and had not actually seen any such photographs.
The unexpected strikes on Israeli communities last Saturday have claimed at least 14 American lives, according to the US President. The terror incident sparked a furious Israeli counterattack. More than 4,000 people have already died as a result of the attacks and the reprisals. Biden’s remarks, according to Hamas, were a “attempt to cover crimes” by Israel.
Additionally, a number of hostages had been abducted by Hamas agents, who threatened to kill them if Israel did not provide civilians advance notice of its attacks on Gaza. Biden acknowledged that some of those seized were US citizens.

In a strong show of solidarity, the US President said “we stand with Israel and we will make sure it has what it needs”. Describing the Hamas attacks on civilians as “sickening”, he added, “Parents butchered, using their bodies to try to protect their children. Young people massacred while attending a musical festival to celebrate peace. Women raped, assaulted, paraded as trophies.”
“To any country, any organization, anyone thinking of taking advantage of this situation, I have one word: don’t,” the US President said. According to a news outlet, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin stated that the US does not currently have proof of direct Iranian involvement in the Hamas assaults. US officials are still investigating the issue’s intelligence. In front of the US election next year, Biden’s response is being eagerly scrutinized at home, according to press reports. Republicans charge that the Democrat president is soft on Iran.
