A fascinating video has emerged on social media showing twin tornadoes developing in Colorado, United States.
Tony Laubach, storm chaser shared the remarkable video.
AccuWeather tweeted, “Remarkable. 😧 AccuWeather’s @TonyLaubach captured this incredible video of side-by-side tornadoes forming in Washington County, Colorado, this afternoon”, through its official Twitter handle.
As per the report, the tornadoes looked to be side-by-side over the open terrain a few miles south and west of Akron in Washington County. In addition to spawning twin tornadoes, the storm remained stationary over the same approximate area for an hour, which is an extremely rare occurrence.
As the storms swept across Colorado, golf ball-sized hail dropped in various spots, including over North Sterling State Park.
However, there were no initial reports of tornado damage.
For several hours on Wednesday afternoon, tornado warnings were issued for Washington County and parts of Logan and Morgan Counties while slow-moving storms sat over the same locations.
Earlier this month, a deadly tornado slammed through a hamlet in Texas, killing three people and injuring up to 100 others.
Millions of Americans in many southern and midwestern states were under severe weather warnings as deadly storms driven by high temperatures pounded the region, bringing tornadoes, thunderstorms, and hail the size of golf balls.
