US President Donald Trump will address the nation with an update on the ongoing Iran conflict, the White House confirmed, as hostilities involving the US and Israel enter their second month.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt announced the address, stating that the President will speak at 09:00 PM ET to provide key updates on the situation.
The announcement comes amid intensifying military operations and growing scrutiny over Washington’s next moves.
The conflict has continued to escalate, with the US-Israeli campaign against Iran entering a prolonged phase and drawing mixed public reactions.
Reports suggest that the administration is considering deploying American troops within Iran to secure highly enriched uranium, a move that could involve elite special forces operating deep inside Iranian territory. Such an operation would expose US personnel to potential threats, including short-range missiles and drone attacks.
Military activity has already intensified, with recent strikes targeting critical Iranian infrastructure.
Among the key sites affected is the Isfahan Nuclear Energy Centre, believed to house significant quantities of enriched uranium.
Earlier operations have previously targeted the facility, underlining its strategic importance.
Iran has, however, adopted a cautious diplomatic stance. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei said Iran has held no direct negotiations with the US since the conflict began, although intermediaries have conveyed proposals.
The White House has not disclosed specific details of the address but is expected to outline the administration’s next course of action in the evolving conflict.
