US President Donald Trump shared Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s three-hour podcast with Lex Fridman on his Truth Social platform.
The podcast provided a platform for PM Modi to discuss his camaraderie with President Trump and express admiration for his leadership, particularly Trump’s ‘America First’ approach, which PM Modi compared to his own ‘Bharat First’ stance.
Throughout the conversation, Prime Minister Modi emphasized the mutual trust and respect he shares with Trump, highlighting their deep connection.
PM Modi described how Trump’s humility stood out during their interactions, particularly during the 2019 ‘Howdy Modi’ event, where Trump’s decision to sit in the audience reflected his genuine, humble approach.
Prime Minister Modi also praised Trump’s resilience, especially following the assassination attempt on him, noting that despite such adversity, Trump remained steadfast in his commitment to America.
PM Modi underscored the shared values of nation-first leadership between the two leaders, stating, “Even after being shot, he remained unwaveringly dedicated to America. His life was for his nation.”
The podcast also saw PM Modi recall his memorable White House visit, where Trump broke protocol by personally guiding him on a tour of the presidential residence.
Despite not having met in years, PM Modi emphasized that their trust and communication had remained as strong as ever.
PM Modi also reflected on Trump’s gracious comment about him being a better negotiator, attributing it to Trump’s humility.
When asked about negotiations, PM Modi stated that he always drives his approach with India’s best interests at heart, just as Trump centers his negotiations on America’s needs.
Shifting topics, PM Modi also fondly recalled his long-standing relationship with Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, dating back to his time as Gujarat’s Chief Minister.
He noted their recent meeting and shared Musk’s enthusiasm for governance efficiency, drawing parallels between Musk’s principles of transparency and efficiency and his own government’s reforms aimed at good governance.
The podcast, now shared widely across social media platforms, serves as a powerful reflection of the ongoing strong relationship between India and the US.
Prime Minister Modi’s insights into leadership and governance continue to foster positive diplomatic relations, highlighting shared values of national pride and dedication to public service.
In his discussion with Fridman, PM Modi outlined how his government drives economic growth and efficiency through transparent governance, similar to Musk’s principles in the corporate world.
These conversations continue to shape global perceptions of India’s leadership and its collaborative relationship with key global figures like Trump and Musk.
