Trump Praises PM Modi, Says ‘We Get Things Done’

On Friday, the United States Embassy in India highlighted President Donald Trump praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a leader who ‘gets things done’ and projecting that the two countries will strengthen their bilateral ties in the coming years.

The embassy posted the message amid ongoing West Asia tensions, drawing widespread attention.

President Trump stressed that he and Prime Minister Modi get things done and will further strengthen their relationship with India. The praise came after the two leaders discussed the Iran conflict and regional security during a phone call earlier this week.

PM Modi reiterated India’s commitment to de-escalation and restoring peace. He also highlighted the strategic importance of the Strait of Hormuz for global trade.

Taking to X, PM Moid posted, “Received a call from President Trump and had a useful exchange of views on the situation in West Asia. India supports de-escalation and restoration of peace at the earliest. Ensuring that the Strait of Hormuz remains open, secure and accessible is essential for the whole world. We agreed to stay in touch regarding efforts towards peace and stability.”

Both leaders emphasised the need to maintain regional security, safeguard shipping lanes, and prevent further escalation.

Their ongoing partnership reflects a results-oriented approach across trade, defence, and strategic initiatives, reinforcing India-US collaboration amid global uncertainty.

The conversation comes as West Asia experiences heightened tensions following February strikes by the US and Israel on Iran, with subsequent retaliatory drone and missile attacks.

These developments continue to influence global markets and energy prices, underscoring the significance of Indo-US dialogue.

Their long-standing partnership features frequent high-profile engagements and mutual praise. It highlights their shared commitment to constructive diplomacy, strategic cooperation, and global stability.
