Tourist Bus And Truck Collide In Brazil, Killing 25 People

On Monday, local authorities stated that a minibus carrying tourists from a coastal trip collided with a truck in Bahia, the northeastern state of Brazil, killing at least 25 people and injuring six.

In a statement, the state’s local fire department stated, “The crash occurred overnight on a federal road between the cities of Nova Fatima and Gaviao in inland Bahia”.

“The injured were evacuated to nearby hospitals”, the statement reads.

The majority of the deceased were in the minibus, according to Bahia civil police, who added that the cause of the tragedy is under investigation.
